About Us

The Bonham Nursing Center was founded in 1975 by James K. Bonham, Sr., and his wife, Ramona.

With a history of caring for special needs children and adults in the rural area, Mr. and Mrs. Bonham ventured into the arena of building. a 58-bed, long-term care facility for the elderly in the community; Grand Opening was in January 1975.  Situated in a serene country setting, Bonham’s offers a small park, train, and picnic pavilion for families, residents, and community to enjoy.  Pine Creek, a small stream, freely flows through the acreage.  In the early 1990’s, an addition was built to provide care for 19 additional residents. Also included in the addition was a fully equipped therapy gym and modern nurse’s station.  Currently, The Bonham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center can accommodate 77 Residents.

Bonham’s continues to follow the Mission Statement and Philosophy of its founder, Jim Bonham.  As a man of faith, Jim Bonham established the nursing. center under a “Christian thrust.”  Following The Golden Rule continues to be the lodestar and core value that permeates the facility.  We truly believe that we should “…do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”  (Luke 6:31) Bonham’s does accept residents regardless of creed, ethnicity, religious. beliefs, etc.
